Carol Ann Toth:  

Life I've been very happily married to Bill Toth,Sr. since June 24, 1961. I'm the classmate that got married the saturday following graduation. Bill and I went together since I was 14yrs., and with him being 5yrs. older, well enough waiting already. In 1963 Bill Jr. came along, and in 1965 Kristin Lynn. Two beautiful children, that have been a pleasure to raise. In 1977 my daughter Jennifer made her appearance.. I knew Bill since I was 6yrs. we attended the same church together, and our families were friends, now we're the grandparents of 7, Bill Jr. has a boy William D. Toth 3rd, and a Daughter Victoria Lynn, Well on March 13,we added a daughter Katherine Elizabeth to bills family,, Kristin,my oldest daughter has a son Jon, and Jennifer has a daughter Taylor, and a son Devon,and has just given birth to a second daughter, Alicia.. It's been a long 44 years. Many things have changed, parents have passed away, but there is a lot of steady good, and after all that's what life's about. I'm retired from nursing, went back to New Haven U. for business, and worked 12yrs. in the sales field and ran a sales office. Now I'm looking for a online business I could do from home. These computers would have been a big help back in high school. So hello to any fellow classmates that are reading this. Still think about those times, and the kids, from the different classes. Sorry I couldn't make the reunion. God Bless all of you, and I pray He Keeps you safe in his hands. Carol-- Well it's 7/1/2004 now, and I'm volunteering at Milford hosp. might as well put all that nursing exp. to some good. still haven't found anything I would want to do on computer, So glad to hear from those who emailed, thank you. God Bless, Carol I think what bothers me about this site is that they have me graduating from Bullard Havens, and I never went to that school, I was just inquiring about some friends. But here it is stuck on my bio.-- It's now 2005, who would have thought, and things are pretty steady in my life, my husband has just retired, THIS IS A TOTALLY NEW EXPERIENCE. A 24-7 thing, is something that has to be worked at. Also I have 4 of my grandchildren here daily, because their parents work. So it's a busy house, and I'm not getting any younger. I just found one of our classmates Evelyn Kaplanka, went through school with her from 1st to 12 grade,now she lives in Chula Vista, Cali. Still looking for Barbara, wish I could remember her last name, light haired girl, little chubby in school, pretty though, she was in my business classes, and even went with me to my wedding gown fittings, wish I could find her.--2005 Thanksgiving time, Hope all who read this have a lot to be thankful for. Pray God will be with you and your families. Carol Workplace Their telling me to write a work bio? hahahhaha Well lets see. Senior year I worked a few months in Producto Machines. Long enough to know I didn't want to do that for a living. The big decision came when my mom's mother got really sick.She owned a large house in Black Rock so my folks moved lock stock and barrel into hers to care for her since she wouldn't be able to leave hers anymore to stay with us when she needed to. I got to know my Grandmother, Maud Fritzsinger Marsala, in a way most girls never get to know their grandmothers. We would have the longest and best talks. I asked if I could be the one to stay in her room with her in the other twin bed. She moved into my grandpa Joes when he passed. She could have problems breathing in the nite, so Dr, told me what to do, and I would monitor her, giving my mom who had her care all day a much needed rest. We had an English teacher, can't remember her name, who lived in Fairfield, and would pick me up in the morning and give me a ride to school. God Bless her for that.Long story short, I got married after graduation, in 1961, and in Sept. went into Nursing school. We sold the house in Wallingford Bill bought when we became engaged on Feb.14,1960,too far, and bought one in Oct.in Milford. Though while waiting to go into nursing school I did a stint behind the counter at Howard Johnsons, I LOVED IT, IT WAS THE MOST FUN JOB I'VE EVER HAD. I had my son in 63, and my daughter in 65, then back to nursing when my dad became ill with throat cancer. Three years of nursing him followed.Well after another 8 yrs of terminal care patients, I burned out. Tried going back doing private care, didn't work. So I left nursing after 12 yrs. and went to New Haven U, to refresh the business courses and accounting I'd had in High School only taking it further. Became Office Manager for an auto sales corp. Then after 3 yrs. went out on my own, cold calling, selling items with company names on them for advertising. My daughter married in 87,son in 89, when the grandkids started coming in 93, I closed ou...Expand for more
